"We opened on Thomas Street because Dublin deserved the food we grew up eating in Naples — cooked properly, served with love."
La Cosa Nostra is a family-run Italian restaurant in the heart of Dublin 8. We're small on purpose: a few tables, an open kitchen, a wood oven, and a wine list we've built bottle by bottle. The room feels like an Italian home because that's exactly what it is.
Our chef, Oscar Bertone, was born and trained in Naples. He brought his family's recipes with him — slow ragùs, hand-stretched pizza dough, risottos finished tableside, and a way of cooking that puts the guest first.
We import what only Italy can give us — San Marzano tomatoes, Sicilian olive oil, 24-month parmigiano, Calabrian chillies — and pair them with the best of Irish produce: Dublin Bay prawns, Wicklow lamb, herbs from local growers.
Whether you're stopping in for a quick pizza, settling in for a long Sunday lunch or hosting your nonna's 80th in our back room, you'll get the same welcome: "Sit down. You're family now."
Pizza, pasta, vino & amore.
That's the whole story.
